    Freego Eagle, my first E-Bike

Hi Eaglerider, my Freego Eagle is 10.5 years old and still going strong. Only things I've changed are tyres, brake pads and a few broken spokes. Bottom bracket is starting to creak a little, so that's next on the list. The bikes been used for commuting and leisure, mainly leisure of late and...

    Freego advice please

Hi Denwyn I have a four year old Freego Eagle which was originally used for a 20 mile commute and now used for leisure. Looks almost as good now as when I bought it. Original battery and still capable of 50 miles under my steam. Other than punctures and brake maintenance it has been trouble free.

Hi Tara, I bought one of these a while ago, alarm bit looks to be the same as yours. Very good in my opinion. About £25 on Amazon. Alarm Cable Lock, Cable Lock Alarm, siren alarm lock, Alarm Cable Lock-XL707 - Kabrus

    Non flying Eagle

I am sure that FreeGo say 'if the bike can't be repaired within 5 days they will give you a new one'. Check the warranty and the website.

Can you derestrict or fit an off road button to a kudos bike??

Hi Eddieo, I think you are referring to FreeGo. It appears they are still going strong with a growing UK network of dealers. In fact I was in a Torquay bike shop yesterday and they were selling FreeGo bikes and Raleigh Dovers.

    Tailgator

I used one for towing my 5 year old daughter. No problems at all with balance, turning was easy, in fact you soon forget that it is on. I regularly towed for 10 miles or more. Fitted to my Powacycle Salisbury with no problem.

Hi Sapper44, Did you get the Freego Eagle?

    One electric bike towing another?

I used to tow the kids with one of these. Can probably be modified to take a full size bike, especially if you remove the front wheel. Trail-Gator Child Bike Tow Bar

    Weather proofing exposed battery terminals.

Hi Sapper44 I wouldn't concern yourself with the need to remove the battery. This battery in pedelec mode is good for 50 miles plus. I just ride it wherever then charge at home with the battery on bike. With that sort of range you dont need to worry. I would be interested in your view of the...

    Free go bikes.

Hi Kitchenman, To be honest I am not that precise. My work commute is 20 miles round trip and only one light of four goes out on the battery meter. I then charge to full, which takes approximately 3 hours. Hope this helps, although I will time it next time.

    Free go bikes.

Hi sapper44 I have had a Freego Eagle for over 12 months now. I use it for commuting (20 mile round trip) and pleasure rides. It is a powerful bike, fun to ride and for me has been absolutely trouble free. The only changes I made were to fit a stem raiser to suit my riding position and a...

China to universally adopt EU legal standards

That's me up the creek then!! My 68v bike weighs a ton and goes like the clappers. Fortunately I know the chinese for 'I do not understand'. So will sit on my bike and keep reciting it when the cops try to take it from me.

    World wide branding!!

Was flicking through a few old pictures yesterday and came across the following of my unpowered Chinese bike. Slightly off topic but after two weeks riding this in 90% humidity I decided to go electric. Cost £25 brand new. However, I think you will agree it was never going to be a worldwide...

    Message dates

I have the same problem in that I can't see when a message was posted. No purple bar. There is a bar above my name but apart from a message icon it is blank and the same colour as my member bar!

Do you cycle in the rain and......

The Lonsdale shoes are just a Trainer type shoe but have a relatively hard sole and for me are quite suitable for cycling.
