If you enter Freego into the search facility you'll find quite a number of members have bought them. All seemed pleased with them at the time of purchase and I can't remember a single negative post about them since.

One of them posted an initial impressions review on this link

Hi sapper44

I have had a Freego Eagle for over 12 months now. I use it for commuting (20 mile round trip) and pleasure rides.
It is a powerful bike, fun to ride and for me has been absolutely trouble free. The only changes I made were to fit a stem raiser to suit my riding position and a larger chainring, the original was 38T, however I beleive they have addressed that on the newer bikes.

I fully recommend the bike and look forward to riding it at every opportunity.

Many thanks looking forward to my trial and hopefully purchase of an eagle.

Hi IOM, glad all is well with your Eagle. Can you tell me more about your battery and charging routine? I have just bought a Fast4ward that has a Li-ion battery. I notice on the spec of the Eagle it mentions 2-3 hours for a partial charge. Is that right? I got to work this morning with 49% left in the tank and it took 3:41 hours to top up. I suppose it I had had 70% left it may taken between 2-3 hrs ... Is that your experience?

Hi Kitchenman,

To be honest I am not that precise. My work commute is 20 miles round trip and only one light of four goes out on the battery meter. I then charge to full, which takes approximately 3 hours.

Hope this helps, although I will time it next time.

Yes. Its interesting to know what your routine is. So I guess yours is ...cycle, work, cycle, charge in evening
Mine with my NI-MH battery and 30 mile round trip .... charge, cycle, work, charge at work, cycle - if all is working well (including me) the charge takes between 50 and 70 mins
with the Li-ion it would be ... cycle, work, charge at work, cycle, charge in evening - the charge time is going to be between 3 and 4 hours ...
