    The black plug on top towards the left, is where the pedal sensor is. As mentioned I tried disconnecting but no luck.

    Apologies, the current setup I believe is that it needs both the throttle pulled and pedals to be moving for the motor to kick in, current EU laws I suppose. However, I think because the sensor is relatively basic I find that the motor doesn't kick in when I need it, there's a small/medium lag...
