    Any Recommendations for Commuter Bike?

I dont have a weight comparison but no i dont find it an issue. I do Aberdeen close to ARI Hospital (Home) to Westhill (Work). Its very open on the cycle path so you get quite a lot of wind , especialy kingswells to westhill. A Wisper would eat the hill from Haudegen to BOD no problem. It...

    Any Recommendations for Commuter Bike?

Hi I have had a Wisper 905SE Sport for about a year now and although i have to admit it is my only experience in electric bikes it is very impresive. Not cheap but impresive all the same. Bike looks good and for hills it great... leaves the lycra boys in your dust:) My biggest issue...

How can I speed up my Wisper 905 SE Sport

Hi folks Ok, what I had hoped to be able to do was to modify the 905SE Sport and get an extra few mph out of it for my long flat off road section. Don’t get me wrong, the bike is great for going up hills etc its just that for them main part of my journey I am cycling along the flat, off...

How can I speed up my Wisper 905 SE Sport

I don’t have a driving licence due to epilepsy so anything that needs a licence is out. If I can stick with the Wisper and modify it that’s great because it’s as good as new. Another option is to sell the Wisper and buy something like a Xipi Quantum 1,500 watt lithium powered bike which...

How can I speed up my Wisper 905 SE Sport

I have had my Wisper 905SE Sport for a year now and I am fairly happy with it with the one exception that I would like it to go faster on the off-road part of my journey to work. It’s a 37V 14Ah system with the off-road button which takes me up to about 19mph. I am not worried about the...

Boosting the top speed of a Wisper 905se Sport

No the bike is exactly as it came … no additional bits only me. I don’t wear skin tight lycra but I have fairly low drag clothes on. I will try doing a run in each direction to confirm what the speeds are as you suggest. As for the model of the bike, its one of the early 2009 models that...

Boosting the top speed of a Wisper 905se Sport

OK... so just to confirm, the things i have read about adjusting a screw on a cable somewhere on the bike are not going to help me here is that correct? Can someone explain what this screw does and where it is please? I would also like to decommission my off-road button so that it was...

Boosting the top speed of a Wisper 905se Sport

Tyre pressures are good. I don’t have any concerns about range because I am only looking for about 20 miles before I can recharge again. Rather than range I would like extra speed. Is there anything on the bike I can adjust to increase the level where power assistance drops out? I think...

Boosting the top speed of a Wisper 905se Sport

Hi folks I recently bought a Wisper 905se Sport, I have covered a couple of hundred miles on it so far and apart from a few minor issues its been pretty good so far. I will do a full report on it in a couple of weeks. Most of my journey to work each day is along a pretty disused road with...

Looking for new bike..Probably Wisper??... your views please

Well I have gone and done it …ended up buying a Jan / Feb 2009 model Wisper 905se Sport from e-bikes direct. I found that prices for the 905se Sport seemed to range from £1175 to £1393 and of the few models that were available at the moment, one or two were earlier bikes. The differences...

Looking for new bike..Probably Wisper??... your views please

Yep thanks flecc. No doubt it will all become much clearer to me when i know a bit more about it. Main thing is that i know there isn't really a big difference between the Wisper and eZee batteries. Once i get a bike i will be able to sound knowledgable about the battery technology :)

Right … err..well thanks for that flecc So from what I can gather, both the Wisper and the eZee have equivalent batteries and both are high quality. Guess its just down to getting the right bike now then. Cheers Gordon

Looking for new bike..Probably Wisper??... your views please

Interesting stuff folks, thanks So it looks like the Wisper may be the one to go for then. I believe the 2009 models may not have the offroad switch fitted but they will have all the wiring in place so that you can retro fit it I understand. It seems if the Wisper is built to cope with...

    Poor Excuse

My reason for buying an E-bike is kind of outwith my control. When I was a kid I adored bikes and was never off them but my true passion is cars … in particular Lotus Esprit’s However, I had an epileptic seizure a few years back and the first thing that happens is they stop you driving for a...

Looking for new bike..Probably Wisper??... your views please

Hi folks Thanks for all your input. It looks like the 2009 Wisper 905se City S may be the one to go for BUT the problem is I don’t have a firm delivery date yet or price. I really need the bike sooner rather than later so its pushing me towards a current Wisper or perhaps an eZee Forza...

Looking for new bike..Probably Wisper??... your views please

Thanks for the information gents... much appreciated. Sounds like the 2009 version may be the way to go then rather than trying to source a 2008 model? On the battery box, the switch has 2 positions… I’m wondering if that’s how you select the pedal / throttle option? Not too sure why...

Hi folks Just joined the forum and looking for a new bike. It looks very much like it will be a Wisper 905se City S….if I can manage to get a hold of one! From what I can tell the 905se City S is just a 905se Sport with the carrier rack and full mudguards??? Few questions….. Anyone...
