Putting e-bike to bed for the duration of C-virus.

Flecc said; 'In the storm a few weeks ago a can of emulsion from somewhere had somehow been caught by the wind and in flying through the air had left a trail of white splotches diagonally across my garage door, which is distant from my home. So taking advantage of the mild weather I went out...

New ebike company in the UK......

hi cyclebuddy, I bought one of the last of the hybrids last August. Sam had a range of 4 bikes, a hybrid, a fold-up, a fat-bike, and a retro . once he sold the last bike he ceased trading because he couldn't cope with the Chinese import tariff. Excellent bike, very reliable and I...

Thanks fellas, I have another new chain for 7speed that's even shorter, so I'll use a piece of that as an extension. P.S. I came across a convoluted formula for working out the length...... in my case...

    chain length

Thanks to everyone for your advice, I changed the bottom bracket today (that's another saga) and put the crank back with a new chain. I watched a couple of youtube vids first and I'm pretty sure everything is OK. even with the shorter chain. It seems the chain has more tension now but it's not...

    chain length

Thanks for your input fellas, just to add to my confusion I've done a bit more digging and come up with what seems to the right choice, but it's still a bit shorter than the original. The old chain is 122 links ! the best replacement it seems is 114 links and that's for a 6/7/8 speed gear...

    chain length

Hi all, I have a 7speed set up on my bike and I've just replaced the chain, the thing is it's clearly marked as 7s, but it's a good 2ins. shorter than the original. All seems ok and I cannot see any obvious problem, but can anyone offer any reason why I shouldn't carry on using it as it...

    what's it for ?

Hello all, I have a standard 36v battery on my bike and it has a USB socket available. The thing is I'm not really sure what I can use it for. I'm scared to attach anything for fear of doing any damage, not to the battery but to the device. I'm wondering if I...

My only issues are wheeling it with shopping packed into my panniers and getting it up and down steps as I'm not very strong Do you not have 'walk assist' ? my bike will travel at 4mph alongside me when I'm walking if I keep my finger on a button on the LCD. I often use it for going...

    more of this please

As you rightly point out it seems a simple enough task to add a white line and a blue sign, but this seems to be the only path that has this feature in my area. Ironic that it's also one of the quietest.

Hi all, I tend to do most of my riding on trails and tracks etc. well away from main roads. There are times when I have no choice of course. I'm lucky enough to have lots of bike-trails , tracks, and shore line to ride near where I live, but I have to use the main roads to get to them...

Hi Gubbins, so sorry to hear of your loss, , such a shame , and made worse by happening when it is already a miserable time of year for a lot of people, what with the short days and cold weather. Nothing anyone here can say will help much, but I'm sure that come the Spring and warm...
