    Winter Riding

Did the bird do this on purpose? HeHe, reminds me of a time, many years ago, when I was sat on a riverbank fishing. I was trotting a maggot on a float when a squirrel, sitting on an overhanging tree branch, pissed on my head. I too have often wondered if he did it on purpose.

anyone else got plantar fasciitis from cycling?

I really think it's a coincidence and that something else is causing the pain. I had the condition quite severely before I retired and it cleared up quickly when I no longer had to spend 8hrs a day on my feet. I only got my bike back in June and I've used it a lot, but touch wood there's been...

Yes I can still change gear through them too. They're a little clumsy but the thumb shift to a lower gear is easy. Down shifts are clunky but doable. do you leave the power assist at a constant setting? it must be impossible to use the buttons on the control.

    Bike repair stand

I bought a fairly decent one but being a 70yr old weakling ,with a real heavy bike, I fount it almost impossible to lift the bike up, hold it up,and do up the clamp all at the same time. :(

How to buy a Mountain Bike

Sorry to read about the illness Gubbins, hope you're better soon. So much of that video rings true with me, from needing all the gizmos and accessories to spending hours on the pc looking at bike related stuff. Hehe , good post.:D

    on the beach

Hi Josh welcome to the forum. That must of been in the summer I'm guessing. A short walk I know but in wet and windy conditions it's an absolute nightmare.

    on the beach

Not the beach but close enough, this is what remains of the old Hayling Island railway bridge, the line itself has been converted to the Hayling Billy bike trail running from Havant station to the south of Hayling. The road bridge is in the background.

    Winter Riding

Bought my bike in June and I've used it almost daily since then but it's been such a glorious summer that I know I've had it easy so far regarding comfort. Shorts and t-shirt have been the norm but I now find I need long pants and a thermal top to stay warm. I'm currently looking at...

    E-Bike Insurance

Yes of course. I'm not knocking YellowJersey, I just hadn't budgeted for insurance when I bought the bike. My real problem is that I live in a first-floor flat so I can't keep it indoors.

    E-Bike Insurance

I keep mine in a locked garage, don't know what it does for the premiums but I've been in touch with YellowJersey and they say that the insurer will consent as long as I use a floor or wall mounted anchor, a gold rated D shackle, and a cable lock through the wheels. Also the lock on the door must...

    E-Bike Insurance

Can I ask if they made any stipulations about how you must secure your bikes when they are unattended, even indoors. zakventis in his post above says ''Covered "Anywhere" so long as I use a Gold Standard lock anchored to an "immovable object". I read that as possibly saying 'it must be...

Thanks for the kind words Gubbins, Nealh and KZC , I'm glad you agree it's a fine looking bike. :) I intended to just refer you to the ad. that flashes away in the panel on the right of the page because that's how I first noticed the bikes, but would you believe it as of today it's gone ...

Hello from a new E Bike owner!

Hi Pete, we're both newcomers and have both had our bikes about the same time so welcome along. I really enjoy everything about my bike, the only thing I would change maybe would be to have a step-through, when I have the pannier bag on the rear rack it's hard for me to get my leg over . (story...
