    Fiido D1/D2/D2S vs Alfawise X1

Hi everyone, I am in need of advice regarding the purchase of a foldable e-bike for my commute. I used to own a Kudos K16 that I then sold for an electric scooter, but due to the legal issue I am now jumping back on an e-bike. I do have some specific requirements, which are the following: I...

Purchasing a new Brompton but which Conversion Kit?

Hi all, I used to own a Kudos K16 (lightweight electric bike) which I sold some time ago, and I am now looking to buy a Brompton using a Cycle To Work incentive. Considering the insane price of the electric Brompton, I would like to buy a conversion Kit with a removable battery. Since I do...

My first e-bike: how to maintain it? tips and advice [Kudos K16]

So you'd recommend to always fully charge it? It is my knowledge that lithium battery's life is enhanced by charging cycles never beyond 99%.

My first e-bike: how to maintain it? tips and advice [Kudos K16]

Hi all, Thanks to your advice I have finally received my Kudos K16, which is the first e-bike ever owned. I must say they should have marketed the bike a lot better as it looks so much better than the pictures. Also it can be fold in two different ways, which was a very pleasant surprise as I...

    Kudos Secret vs Kudos K16

After much consideration, I have realised the the most important feature in the choice of my e-bike is portability. I live very central in east-london (zone 2) and I am covering a very short commute at the moment. I may not know if in 3 months I'll be working 20 miles from home, so I have to...

    Kudos Secret vs Kudos K16

Which leads me back to the Cyclotricity Wallet. They do accept cyclescheme voucher so the Wallet with its 16.8kg, 18" wheels and mudguards becomes a strong candidate.. Do you know how much is the weight of the Secret' s battery exactly?

    Kudos Secret vs Kudos K16

Thank you for your feedback RevBob. I have no doubt that with a lift I would have chosen the Kudos Secret as it just seems exceptional value for money and I do not need to take it to a train/bus on a daily basis. However carrying its 20 kg every day up and down the stairs, even for a 31 years...

    Kudos Secret vs Kudos K16

What about the Cyclotricity Wallet? At 16.8kg it's basically a compromise between the K16 and the Secret (with the same price of K16). https://www.cyclotricity.com/uk/motor-homes/wallet-folding-e-bike-n.html

    Kudos Secret vs Kudos K16

What would you recommend in my situation? I am relatively fit to carry an unfolded bike (14 to max 17-18kg) up the stairs.

    Kudos Secret vs Kudos K16

So this puts a big question mark on top of the K16 as I have never ridden in London weather without mudguards... I am getting more and more confused every day about how to choose a folding e-bike that actually fits my need.. If I go for the Secret I get all the above but loose the opportunity...

    Kudos Secret vs Kudos K16

I see. I am really struggling to make a decision as it's 3 kgs more, but it has the mudguards and lights which would be very handy... This is my first e-bike so I am a total amateur and I have no idea if I could fit mudguards and lights (or just reflectors) onto the K16

    Kudos Secret vs Kudos K16

Hi all, Whilst I am waiting for my cyclescheme to be awarded, I have a doubt regarding the K16. Is there a way to fit a light plastic mudguard and lights reflector?

lightweight folding e-Bike (to carry on flights of stairs)

Unfortunately since I do not have a lift in my building I have to cross all these options around 20kgs (Kwikfold, Volt Metro, Raleigh) off the list and go for a superlight weight. The choice was ultimately between Woosh Gallego and K16 but the Gallego it's not sold via c cyclescheme.

lightweight folding e-Bike (to carry on flights of stairs)

I tend go agree regarding the clumsiness. However, above 20kgs the weight does make a different when you have to carry it for several flights. The Kudos K16, besides it's light weight, has the handle on the frame which would (I hope) make it easy to lift unfolded.

    Winter Riding

Is there a non-HiVis version? As I have mentioned I need a jacket to wear on my way into to work and then around for the day (my day consists in half day in the office and half day doing home visits).
