I have just tried changing the sensor and it didn't make any difference. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The connections look ok so not sure what the problem is. Does anyone have any suggestions what to try next?

Thanks, it looks ok and I can't see any problems with the wires or connections. The throttle works ok and the controller looks ok, the brake sensors are fine so I guess it is either the sensor or a wiring problem.

Thanks, you were right the battery in the volt meter needed changing. Re-measured the voltage at 38 volts. The charger is a 42 volt one. I suspect the problem may have had something to do with the bike getting very wet although I would expect to be ok to ride it in heavy rain?
