Thanks Andy, This is helpful, and highlights the complexity of LiPos, plus the problem of getting two packs and putting in series. Perhaps a better bet is just to buy a 36v Li-Ion pack and forget the LiPo project idea. I was attracted to LiPo as i could potentially share usage of the 18v packs...
