I was right, you just like arguing. A point of failure is a place where it CAN fail. There are lots on a bike, You seem to believe a mid motor bike has an extra one - I assume the chain. However a mid motor bike can have hub gears, and a stronger chain (or belt), and chains are not hard to fix...

Cos ii assumed you and the rest of the forum could work out that a bike with broken front forks, seat post, wheel bearing, etc etc would also need pushing. Apparently you regard a chain as a unique case for some reason. Or maybe you just like to argue.

And don't worry about the 'middle motor single point of failure' nonsense.. There are so many single points of failure in any bike that one more makes no difference. Andy just hates Bosch (and others) though what they ever did to him is not obvious.

Yep, my Bosch display bars never go back up, so it clearly isn't just voltage, going downhill increases the displayed range, but the bars only ever go one way.

Like most car petrol gauges, I find the Bosch display(s) are a bit pessimistic / safe at the low end, i.e. they go several km (sorry, metricated) on zero bars (but maybe good to stay away from power level 4/5 when the battery is down there). When testing that, better be within push/unassisted...

They are just speed pedals these days, so many HP and so much torque in most cars that you don't notice the acceleration phase, you just instantly achieve a higher speed. Unless something solid gets in the way. :)

You need something to turn the variable DC volts (depending on how bright it is) into either fixed DC to feed the battery, or 240v AC to feed the charger. There are some 12v (ish) panels to drive canal boats and caravans iirc, but not sure about 48+v ones to drive bike batteries.

Curveball time.. What are the rules, if they differ any, for electric three wheelers (or 4 or 5 for that matter). Can they still use bridleways, subject to being able to get thru the obstacle furniture pinch points? Anyone here have one they can recommend for a wobbly adult?

I was having same problems in a car .. while you can cut out the sun, somewhat, using the sunshades, the reflection from the wet/icy road surface was so bad I actually had to stop a couple of times to let my eyes adjust to the sudden glare.

That's the problem with modern society, we know the cost, price and profit margin of everything, and appreciate the value of nothing. The cost per mile calculation of the ice car fails to properly consider the damage done. Ditto the aeroplane.
