    1st Bafang conversion -sense check

I run a 36v bs01b, I fitted a 42t front cog to cope with the steep hills on bridleways around me, there have been no issues with any hills on roads, even pulling my trailer. The kit came with a 46t cog IMMSMR. I tweaked things like the Keep Current and current control settings for a better ride...

Twist and Go 15.5mph DIY Ebikes are legal

You need to post this somewhere more obvious, it's hidden at the end of a thread. Hope you aren't just chasing knocking copy though. What paper is it for?

Gardener choosing a bike for pulling a trailer around a city

I'm also the proud owner of an ikea trailer. I pull it with my converted hybrid bbs01b, 42t front cog for the hills round here. I recently put a kit on my old brompton, tried the trailer with that, works a treat, certainly on the flat, not as much poke on the hills as the hybrid. I'd say stick a...

    Courier Chaos

Just had 5ltr paint delivered. Can was properly dented, lucky it didn't burst. Could have been packed better by Rawlins, treated with care by FedEx. It's obviously been chucked about.

    Brompton with trailer

Just tried out the e Brompton conversion with my trailer, no problems at all, apart from not having enough power to get up a short steep cobbled lock ramp, that needs bottom gear and full power on the mid drive hybrid. I thought there was a thread for just posting pics of bikes out and about...

    Can you identify this connector?

Nowt wrong with his answer, that's what he wants to do, his choice. @k1s1 So the solution is to get a male and female connector already wired and solder them into the loom so you can unplug it. If you are really good at fine soldering, then wire new m/f connectors direct. I had to...

    Towball

Why not take a file or angle grinder to the ball and level the flat. That would be easiest if that is the problem.

How do you deal with a puncture/breakdown when out?

I do roadside repairs, also carry a spare tube. I have QR axles, with a centre stand on the bike I can get them out without inverting the bike. I have a Rehook tyre tool, brilliant bit of kit for getting tyre on and off, I carry a small set of tools, enough to repair most problems. The Rehook...

    That's the spokes done

What about increased weight and drag? It would be easy to get uneven thickness, one half of the wheel might be heavier, causing vibrations.

    Introducing the Woosh Brompton cskit

Yes but not for a little while, it's on my narrowboat, going moving it next week. I didn't buy it through Amazon or eBay or I could've found it. Re the bottom bracket, I have a '99 Brompton, as far as I can be certain, with the 6-speed Sturmey hub. I had to get a new bottom bracket - then of...
