Thanks for the suggestion Edward Elizabeth. I ended up buying a cheapo from Ebay. From what I can see from my rather extensive searching, there are very few bags which will accommodate that particular lock. I have however managed to fit it in the one I bought by separating the shank and locking...

my intention is to use the bike purely for exercise, maybe stop off for a coffee mid ride, but not to let it out of my sight for too long.

Many thanks Bikes4two, I have seen that (and many others besides) which moved me to buy that particular lock, which has now been delivered by Amazon along with the Kryptonite Cobra cable. Just awaiting bike delivery so I can size everything up correctly. Jeremy

I think I might need something slightly longer. The web quotes 37cm in length, but I guess I could get that shorter by not mounting the bottom locking bar to the D when carrying in a rack bag. Again I am going to have to wait a couple of days to find out :) But thank you both for your replies...

Yes, it comes with a carrier which can be frame mounted, however the only place to mount it on the S10 would be somewhere on the rear rack. To be honest I think I need to wait until I have both bike and lock together to judge the best method of carrying the lock. Jeremy
