    What's the answer?

The number of ebikes you need is n+1, where n is the number you already have.

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Of course I am. I'm still trying to figure out their end game. Do they want to get him in jail so that they can suicide him? Some are saying that they're just trying to tie him up so that he can't campaigne, but I can't see that they would be that stupid, when he gets more publicity and support...

    What's the answer?

It depends on what you mean by nice to ride. I've ridden many quite heavy ebikes that were nice to ride.

Giant Twist Express RS2 - No Power

The battery probably isn't OK. You need to put it under a load to see if it shuts down. Hot off the charger, it should be the same voltage as the charger, which is normally 29.4v. The controller will shut down at about 21v and the battery will shut itself down at about 19v. If it were my bike...

    What's the answer?

A lightweight unassisted road bike requires about the same effort to pedal at the same speed as my electric MTB on level 1 (about 100w from the battery).

    Electric folding bike modification issues

Yes, they need power from the 5v supply.

Giant Twist Express RS2 - No Power

Did you check the voltage on the wires going into the controller? The display power wires are normally simple branches off them.

Some people have the ability to figure things out. It's the same mechanism whatever the subject - collection of information, logical thought, evaluation of ideas and judgement. Not everybody can do it so please don't feel left out, but try to learn from those can.

DFT consultation on increase of 250W limit to 500W

This is the main point. When we get 500w allowed, the only thing that will change is the label, not the power or anything else. They're already 500w motors under most normal definitions. That's adding to the problem and shows a misunderstanding. See my previous post for explanation.

DFT consultation on increase of 250W limit to 500W

Most people get the wrong idea about what's allowed because they don't understand the difference between "rated" power and "output" power. Rated power is nebulous. There is no rule for how it should be determined. A manufacturer can under-rate a motor as far as they want, like take their 1000w...

You're still looking in the wrong direction. Did you know about this word? https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Clintoned Total control of media and news - think MSM Total control of election process. How did Biden get elected? Total control of the courts. Look at the Tommy...

Giant Twist Express RS2 - No Power

OK, there's the 5v regulator and microprocessor. It must use one of those piddly transistors on the first side to switch on the power, which is a bit unusual. You should have battery voltage on VCC. When you switch on, it latches it to a wire that goes back to power the controller - probably...

Giant Twist Express RS2 - No Power

What's on the back of the display pcb? The picture doesn't show any 5v regulator nor any microprocessor, nor MOSFET, which would be unusual.

    Electric folding bike modification issues

Please let us know how you get on. When you have that type of controller with the halls connected, it won't give any power if it detects a fault with the hall signals. In that case, you have to check whether they're pulsing when you turn the wheel backwards. With everything switched on, all you...

DFT consultation on increase of 250W limit to 500W

Unfortunately your article failed in the second paragraph when you mentioned a 250w power limit. There is no such limit and there never has been, which is why many if not most legal ebikes make at least 400w at the back wheel, and some make well over 1000w. Did you not wonder how the certified...

    Electric folding bike modification issues

You connect the wires, lift the motor wheel off the ground and switch on. After some time, the motor will start to rotate forwards or backwards slowly. If it goes backwards, you hear it whirring, but it doesn't move because of the clutch. In that case, you switch off and start again. Each time...

    Dual voltage

If you're going to swap between 36v and 48v batteries, you need to make sure that you connect each battery when it's at an unambiguous voltage otherwise the controller won't know you've changed and your fully-charged 36v battery will be switched off when it reaches 41v.

    Electric folding bike modification issues

The pedal assist is not affected by whether you are set to run sensorless or with hall sensors. Does the controller have the self-learning (intelligent identification) wires? If so, do the self-learning procedure with the halls connected, and don't forget to disconnect the self-learning wires...

Knee issues, heavy rider, good power, 1500gbp budget help please

My code of ethics says, " First do no arm", but if you'd like to donate a kidney or two, I think he'd be very happy, or your liver will lose you around 4 pounds. Win, win.
