Thinking about this as a way to retain a decent range of gears for when either the battery goes flat or im out riding it as a regular bike......

Has anyone had this - or the Sram dual Drive mated to a BBS01/02 or similar 36v system?

i think there is a kaikoff with the dual drive ?

How did you find it ? and was it robust and up the torque the motors can stick in ?

I rum the Alfine 8 speed hub. Loads of range. Great for changing gear at lights too.
Bit crumby dropping gears during hill climbs, so I have to change down early. Or blip brake on hill and then pedal hard to get going again.

Yeah used to have an alfine on my commuter it was alright

Not a patch on my rolhioff imo for range

But neither were very free running. Always felt like more effort than my xc bike

My skip recovered top bike has a sturmey from the 80s and works real well.

Just curious if this cassette system feels the same and is it as bomb proof ?
