Battery is fine, bike is dead....

After the first trip Betty (my 905se City) has taken in the rain last night, this morning when I turned the key there was a vague blink from the handlebar lights, and they faded into nothingness.

The battery tells me its fully charged, and I made sure it was seated properly.

My local mechanic has assembled two of these, and that's his entire experience with electric bikes. Have you any ideas of what I can ask him (or point an electricianary person at?)

I would try two things first:

1. Dry out the your bike.
2. Check the fuse on your battery.

there are two fuses on a 2009 Wisper battery - one is found on the left hand side of the battery keyswitch. The second is found at the bottom of the battery on the other side.

The fuse holders can be opened with a screwdriver - inside is a standard glass fuse which can be obtained from any electrical shop.. if they are blown check the ratings to ensure you are replacing like with like..)

Aha! Thanks for that. Fuses replaced (After the head of the holder for 20amp one splintered and broke off, and getting that sorted was a bit of a 'mare, to say the least) and still no go. Even with a replacement battery. Sarge (the guy who runs my local shop) is getting a sparky in to have a look.
