I have recently installed a 750 watt BBS mid-drive on a marin hardtail. I have done 80 very enjoyable miles on it. The problem is it has stopped working. I put it away after it was working perfectly, charged the battery and the next day it was dead. The display still works but there is no response from the PAS or the throttle. Any ideas?

Two suggests from me is disconnect brake sensors if fitted and try again, check battery output with a meter. Throttle and pas are linked to brake cut outs if fitted so check them first.

try this first:
squeeze the brakes and switch on the LCD. You should see error 25. Release the brake levers, error 25 should go. Then spin the wheel where you fit the speed sensor to, if you see speed displayed, then the conclusion is you have blown one of the FETs.

Brakes are not connected. If I spin the wheel the speed is displayed as normal.

you'll need a new controller, the battery and LCD are intact.

I was hoping it would be a simple problem. Seems not. I shall e-mail em3ev and try for a replacement controller. This motor is supposed to have the upgraded FETs.
