I have Tektro Lyra caliper on the rear. I'm getting through brake pads at a right rate of knots. To be expected as there's loads of hills here and I'm using organic for grip. However a pair of Clarks have just lasted me about 300 miles. I don't mind changing them, after all it's one of the easier jobs, but at £10=12 a pair it hurts.
I seem to remember someone saying they bought pads in bulk for cheaper. Anyone got a lead on this? I can't seem to find any.
Ta.

Thanks SW, already been there. Upgraded to 180 Sram centreline. Works a lot better but the long decents are chewing up the lining. I too assume it's heat build up, sometimes sounds like metal on metal, then it will suddenly clear. The inner pad I've just removed looks partially ripped/torn and is only half the thickness of it's pair.
