Broken spoke on 905SE

i have a broken spoke on the rear wheel of my Wisper 905se .

Would someone confirm the size of the spoke I need, the diameter appears to be 2.2mm; I need to know the length of a new spoke (the length of the broken one from hub to the rim where it is broken is 200mm).

In that case, you've answered your own question. You measure from the end of the spoke (threaded bit) to the elbow. They normally break at the elbow, so whatever you have is the length you need. 13g (2.2mm) are not so common. You can use a 14g (2mm) if you want. It might look a bit different, but it'll have no effect on the function or strength. Have a look on Ebay.

D8veh, mine broke at the rim, not the elbow so what is needed is longer than what I have measured from the elbow.

if you're stuck, try woosh. I think it's the same length as on their Sirocco bike.

Unscrew one of the other nipples, so that you can see how long is the threaded bit.

I have broken a few spokes on my 905SE and found them to be 218mm by 2.5mm dia. 13g spokes

On examination it would seem that I haven't broken a spoke 'just' lost the nipple ~ it must be somewhere within the rim, where it will stay. So just need a new nipple.

I assume 2.2mm is 13g.

Anyone recommend a supplier of nipples ~ everyone I click on only seems to do bundles of spokes + nipples.

What does the 14*4 refer to? Is it the the length of the nipple and the diameter of the rim hole?

The nipple is 14mm long and 4mm wide to fit a 13g 2.3 mm spoke
