I am going build my battery pack soon , it will be 14s4p GA cells running a BBSHD.

Each cell is 10a rated

what size cable should I use on the battery? I am planning on using XT90's connectors.

Seems very mixed on a main fuse, what fuse should I use If I decide to fit one?

Thanks

AWG wiring is amp rated to thin and it will get hot or melt.
14 awg max 45a, 12 = max 70a & 10 max 120a.
With the potential for your build to deliver high amp output 10 awg will fit nicely into the XT90 cups and deal with any heat issues should they arise.
Fuse needs to be equal too or greater then the BBSHD controller max rating so go about 5amps more, any power spike should easily pop it.

I prefer the XT60 and 12g silicon wire, easier to solder and as d8veh says plenty thick enough to handle the currents we use.
