I have been having some connection problems with the battery on my Crossfire e-bike cutting out due to loose contact pins on the bike. I have had to use gorilla tape on the loose contact pins to keep them from moving and I have had to use gorilla tape to keep the battery from moving when connected to the bike. However, I am wondering is it safe to charge the battery while it’s connected to the bike? Please advise.

It should be if the bike isn't switched on, though the battery will have to be on to charge properly.
Controller usually only draws current when it or the bike is switched on.
Your main issue with loose bad contacting pins is arcing when the battery and bike are switched on.
For your battery use double sided Velcro strapping and then you can remove it if need be.
