Hi guys

I have seen a controller from pswpower.

The cables look a bit different to similar controllers.

Please see picture with the circle. What are the two pins for?

Where are the power wires?

Second photo is of a similar controller but has no 2 pin cable.

The 2 pins are power, just integrated into a waterproof connector, no guarantees and it's worth verifying with an email of confirmation, but you "should" get another cable with it that is female and has two bear wires at one and a pairing moulded connector on the other end. I can take a pic of the one I got it helps you visualise & it was off PSWpower however mine came with a motor kit.

Many thanks, i would appreciate the photo.

I can always cut the waterproof connector off, that should also work.

I had a quick look on aliexpress and I can't see one, so bear with and if I remember I will snap a pic by the end of day. If if doesn't come with a cable, which I think it will, yes carefully snip the end some out of box stuff could hold charge in the CAPS(if tested) and put an XT90/60 on the end just get the correct gauge wire for the battery discharge if you are making an extension cable.

They finally got back to me with a very simple. “This controller won’t work with your Bafang motor”

With my limited knowledge. My wheel has a 9pin plug. I understand these are all standard so the kt controller should work with the lcd3 for example.

Am I right?

Should do. Pop some pics up of your motor/9pin connector. Is it a Bafang hub or mid drive? I assume hub? It should work, are you running an LCD3 on it now? My guess is you would need a new 4 to 1 cable as some connectors even though they look the same are maled and femaled differently.

cable pics..

This is the plug on the motor.

I was just weighing up the options but will be getting the lcd3 I think. I don’t know if I want to go for the waterproof kit or the normal plugs where they can be cut and soldered to make the wires shorter and neater.

Kt controllers work with any hub motors with the same julet 9 pin motor connector, the 9 pin wire sequence is a wired to a universal sequence and all hubs I have tried have worked.
My bafang cst & g370 both work perfectly with KT's.
The moulded battery connection isn't common and is used on oem bikes and kits, one can simply snip the connector of if no female suitable connector is available and fit any connector of your choice.
vfr always recommended forget the connector and directly solder wires, that is ok if the battery has a receiver to sit in.

I run LCD3, it is a big screen but highly customisable. That 9pin should work although there is always a possibly it may not work but a shot in the dark is better than nothing I always say, worse case you could probably sell unwanted items on this forum. What was the wheel size and battery voltage? and what brand of controller was it using? and how old is the motor? If you are in doubt maybe try another thread "will this work on KT" and more pics, if no one else chimes in on this post.

If you want to save a few quid check out the LCD4 or LCD5.

Your hub apears to be a cst or swx02 hub both bafangs, the KT will work fine but I would opt for 9 mosfet controller esp if you ride in hilly areas. The 9 mosfet handles heat better for inclines, the 6 mosfets ones get hotter then a hot potato at times on hills at slow speed.

They sold out the same day I’m afraid from what I know.

The link also seems to have disappeared.
