Just spending a few days in Copenhagen on business and have been impressed with the amout of bikes in usae. Bikes every where and of all shapes but mainly 28" wheel. Interesting to note the amount used for commuting, more so than I've seen in London, nice wide and safe cycle paths make it easy to get about. Many bikes seem to be upright giving a relaxed cycling style, very few 'racer' types and only one or two mountain bikes. All seem to use rigid forks and lots and lots of womens bikes in use, maybe more than mens or at least parity. Also like the use of axle mounted LED flashing lights activated by rotating magnets. Just found a really old Kalkholf, no locks but still in active use it seems. No sign of an E-bike though.

great city.....glad you enjoyed the trip....our continental friends are light years ahead of the uk concerning cycle acceptance and provision of dedicated lanes etc. i was fortunate to live in brussels for many years and cycling with my children was safe and easy.
step through bikes were very normal everywhere...nobody ever called them ladies bikes...much easier to ride if wearing a suit !!!

Still have another day to go...the step through seem to be ridden mainly by the ladies, not seen any 'suits' riding them!

Saw an electric trike today, pedal-cab thing with what looked like a cyclone type motor driving the chain, made an awful noise!
