Hey guys, just found out about this place and thank God i did! A while ago i got my first ebike conversion kit from Ebay. Installed it according to the instructions, charged the battery, turned it on and away i went! I had a lot of fun with this kit, and it was so simple to install. So simple, that i decided to buy another wheel to mount on a cheap kickbike i had laying around (first wheel was for the rear so it didn't fit in the kickbikes front fork). Except something must have gone wrong now...

The new wheel is from the same brand, same voltage and wattage, but when i connected all the wires and opened the throttle, the wheel would get a little jolt of forward motion, but nothing more. No noise, the wattage on the LCD screen was going up and the controller got warm. Battery was cool to the touch and fully charged.

There IS power going to the wheel because even tho it won't spin anymore after that short jolt, i cannot rotate it backwards when the throttle is open. I also tried all the different wire combinations of the 3 thick motor wires. Some caused the motor to make a loud honking noise so that was no success... Without power the wheel spins freely. EDIT: Seems like the yellow and blue motor wires are getting warm when i was troubleshooting, but not the green one. EDIT 2.0: wheel works! but only when the HAL sensor is disconnected?

the only difference with the kickbike is that the PAS sensor is not connected, because the kickbike doesn't have any pedals. But considering that the PAS sensor never did work on the last build i doubt that it's the culprit. Open for any and all ideas.
