Does the throttle on controller allways gives 5v?

Hi there I've ordered a controller that has the 3 wires for throttle red black and green. If battery is on should there allways be 5v coming from them as I'm waiting on a 3 wire throttle to come in post but wanted to test with multimeter. Thanks

Yes, you should be able to measure 5v between red and black on the throttle connector with the bike turned on.

You have to connect the "red electric lock" wire to battery positive to power up the controller.

You have to connect the "red electric lock" wire to battery positive to power up the controller.
It tells them that in the #4 diagram/pic , self explanatory.
