I am a responcible adult male.

I have lived at these flats with my ebike since 2007.
Today i recieved a notice, something circulated to all the residences here.

It gave the illusion of being fair signally a sudden clamp down on what can be stored in the communial areas, then it followed this with a provision on electric bikes and electric scooter, stating these were no longer allowed in the bike storage areas.

I haven't seen any other electric bikes stored in these flats so i am left to conclude this new provision is directed at me.

I understand there is a lot of scaremongering as ignorance vies with knowledge.
Has anyone else faced this apparent backlash against the electric-bike?

I should say my bike when it is stored in this outdoor area, is locked there without its battery. It is innert, little more than a heavy bicycle with a fat hub.

Can anyone offer some guidence on this matter?

What's next?

Baring gas fires, gas cookers and tumble dryers because of some percieved risk?
What about banning laptops and other mobile devices builts with the same battery technology?
