How to set new controller

Hello
I am still learning about these EBikes. My system showed the code 07E. From what I can gather this is a break in the wiring to the rear wheel?
this bike dud have bad wiring as it had been in the chain. Even after a repair the code still showed. I won’t go as far as buying a new wheel but could stand the cost of a controller.
so new controller fitted and I have the code 01E.
I think this asked for the controller to be set up to the bike.
I don’t know how to access the controller so could someone guide me please.

The original 07e would have been motor hall sensor failure and will still be the situation, having now replaced the controller 01e means Comm's failure or incompatibility.
Any setting up/pairing items may be dealer programming.

Even if one was to clear 01e, the system when communicating will then throw up 07e again as the original fault hasn't been repaired.
