Inconsistent power output with TSDZ2

My TSDZ2 is 4 years old already. Maybe it's time for some maintenance:)
Recently, it started bugging me with inconsistent power output.
It starts and works correctly for the first 5 minutes (or less), and then randomly cuts the power. Especially when you go uphill, it's practically not working. Then you go flat, and it's kind of .. working. sometimes. Like half pedal circle it's working, half not.

By not working, I mean the engine itself - there's no help/tension from it.

The screen works fine, the speed is shown on the screen, and the battery connection is good (I have 3 batteries. It's the same issue with all of them).

I'm going to blame the torque sensor, but maybe you have a better idea? Maybe it's just the battery-engine wire issue?

Check the simple things first. You can get that if the speed sensor isn't correctly positioned.

Also, are you sure it's not a battery issue? If the LCD switches off. It's probably the battery. If the LCD stays on, it's probably a sensor or motor connector issue.

LCD is always ON, and it always shows the correct speed.
OK, I think you're going to have to open the motor for investigation. I can't see it being the torque sensor because it's intermittent, but there were some rotation sensor issues on both the TSDZ01 and TSDZ02, where they cracked and broke, or maybe it's just a wire rubbed through. The torque and rotation sensors are on the same part anyway, so it makes no difference. £70, ouch!

Please let us know what you find.
