Hi all!
Finally it's christmas, which means I have time to do a battery controller upgrade for my super 73 Z1.
I did this before on my previous Z1 and normally it's a easy job:
- Replace battery (to a 48v one in this case)
- Replace controller (kt36/48svprm ffF10L )
- Apply WP plug and cable (comes with the controller)
- Connect the lcd (LCD8HU), pas sensor, brake cutters
I bought all this components new.
BUT this time something strange is happening.
When I go to turn the bike on (batteries all charged) I press the power on button and the display comes on. However as soon as I remove my finger it goes straight off again.
I checked the following things to close out any failures:
- Battery voltage is correct (checked with quality multimeter)
- LCD screen is connected correctly by the juliet connector
- Replaced the t60 connector on the controller
I think my controller is faulty but maybe I'm overlooking something.
Merry Christmas you all!
