Hi all

I have an EBCO UCL-10 which I purchased over the summer.

I do not go out during the winter months and am concerned about the battery. How do you keep it maintained while it is not in use over a few months?

The bike is in our garage but we are keeping the battery in the house.

Is there a correct procedure to help keep it in good condition?

Thanks
Jim

You should put it on charge every two months, or even every month.

It's BMS uses a small amount of current while idle and could flatten the cells to failure level if left all winter.

Get your self a digital test meter about 5 or 6 quid and check the battery every 3 or 4 weeks keep it charged to about 37 - 38v and just give it a 10-15 min charge a month.
