I have 4 5s8000 mamp rc batteries that I use on my 500 watt bbs.
2 questions.
Can I charge 2 in series as 10s and use battery medics to balance them.
How long is it safe to leave them fully charged.

You can indeed charge them as 10s as long as you have a charger that will do 10s.
You should not leave Lipo at full charge for any length of time as it will shorten their cycle life.
They are best kept at 3.8 volts per cell and charged just before using.
If you stop discharging them at 3.7 v per cell you will fint they dont need balancing very often although you should use a cell checker every time you charge them just to make sure they are not going out of balance.
I use Multistar 16Ah batteries set as 2p3s and bulk charge them to 4.1v per cell and stop discharging at 3.7v and have not had to balance them for the last 30 charges so far.

Thanks for that. When you say don't leave charged for any length of time is overnight too long.

When left fully charged deposits are attracted to the cathode which eventually degrades battery performance.
I have left mine overnight a couple of times when needing to set of early but if you do that every night you will shorten your battery life.
Having said that you will probably still get a couple of years out of them before losing too much range so as long as you budget for replacements I wouldnt worry too much.
My batteries cost £480 so I want them to last as long as possible before I need to fork out for more!
