Still related to NBT, I see in the news this morning Australian scientists have been able to create graphene from soybean cooking oil making the process viably commercially cheaper.
Maybe batteries will become much more prominent with graphene looking ahead and another small step forward to help reduce prices ?

Forget the blue line, you and I may be dead and gone by then, the bottom line (other solid polymers) is where we are at.
I studied ion-exchange membranes at uni in the early 70s. Looking back at the progress in the last 40 years, I can only sigh.
