As I've decided to put a bpm in the back wheel of my old bouncer, I thunk it would be a good time to fettle the bike a bit:
It's shortcomings have been brought to light since I've been riding its unpowered replacement (a 2007 GT i_drive comp); most noticeable being the way its @rse boings up and down in a most undignified manner
So _ off came the rear "shock absorber" & it was immediately clear that no damping wotsoever was going on.
This is what I found when I dismantled it...
There's about 2.5mm clearance all round the rubber plunger & no trace of any kind of damping medium
The replacement Fox vanilla unit should arrive tomorrow so, hopefully, the Lectric bouncer should handle a bit more like its younger brother.
