Over volting BBS 01 350w.

I'm toying with options for BBS and maybe GSM supply, I've tried a search here and on ES but have not come across any thing, has or does anyone know if a BBS 01 18a will take a12s lipo build 44.v nom or will it fry the controller ? Most 36v controllers seem to take 44.4v nom, a normal 36v hub controller is easy to replace but frying the BBS one is a little more time consuming to replace.
I know I can go 10s but in 12s builds bricks are more widely available from HK and 2 x 6s 8ah bricks or 2 built packs in series and then in parallel will make a nice 16ah power unit hopefully giving 40-50 mile

I tried that combination for 15 minutes. It was not stable enough (motor got warm more quickly, gearbox vibrated a bit differently), so did not pursue. I read somewhere that Bafang are fitting better FETs now.

Trex re your short trial with 12s did you ever get the 07 error code showing up ?
