I got an eZee Sprint ages ago as a non runner. Most of the wiring and elec had been ripped off so I replaced the speed controller and display with a Chinese one. Everything worked good as gold however I noticed if you pedaled backwards it DIDN'T trick the controller into powering up the motor, I assumed this was normal. This is using the original eZee PAS sensor. Now on another bike, Ive installed the same controller and an aftermarket PAS sensor, and it will power up the motor if you pedal backwards (or forwards). Is this normal? Its a bit of a pain, because if I wheel the bike backwards quickly, the pedals will rotate backwards, and it can then power up the motor. Are all PAS sensors not created equal?
