Hi, this has nothing to do with electric bikes (apart from my Son may at some point follow in his Dad's pedals and ride one!)
But the Children's Heart Centre at Glenfield in Leics is threatened with closure. A petition has been set up to force a parliamentary discussion, but we need to get 100,000 signatures
This is very personal to me as the dedicated team there saved my son Iwan's life earlier this year (he has a congenital heart condition). The official line is that having more specialised, but less, children's heart centres in the UK will create a better service. However what they fail to mention is that each of the current centres over performs, which backs up my own experience (and that of every parent I have ever spoken with). Plus, there is real concern that the the increased distances children will have to travel could put their already fragile lives even more at risks
