I have acquired a early powabyke shopper the throttle is defective was wondering if any one could advise on where to get a replacement have brought a couple of universal ones which don't work right its either going full throttle or working backwards any advice would be appreciated .

Powabyke throttles work the opposite way to almost every other bike, (don't ask me why!) hence why you get full power without touching it. I don't think you can modify a universal one, so keep a look out on ebay maybe, a bit risky though, as you may just end up with another broken one. The other option is to fit a new controller to it and use the throttle you bought. If you look at the wires coming out of the motor, there should be 2, a red and black, in which case one of these will work.
