I have a Kalkhoff Pro Connect Impulse 10, bought in June last year. The tyres are Scwalbe Marathons, 28 x 1.50, (40x622) and the rims just say 'Concept' - I *think* they are Shuemann Concept SDR light rims, as the Kalkhoff website for the 2015 model mentions Concept SDR. If I read the Shuemann web site correctly, these are 19mm internal width.
The tyres are road tyres I know, but since getting the ebike my enthusiasm for cycling has increased and I'd like to ride some of the easier unmade tracks and country path trails round here (just north of Havant). I'm not talking steep or rutted, just rough and a bit stony. I've done this but I would feel more secure I think on slightly wider tyres with a more pronounced tread. I find the whole rim and tyre business a bit confusing! Looking at the Scwalbe web site, they do a Marathon Mondial which is ebike ready, and which says it's good for road, track and trail, and it does look like it has a more suitable tread pattern. With the rims I have, would I be able to use say, a 28x2.00 size of this tyre on the Concept SDR rims? That's assuming they would fit inside the mudguards and back fork. It looks to me like I have the room.
