Shimano steps E8000 with DI2 gear

Hello guys.
Just got my trike with Shimano E8000 and Rohloff closed gear. Gear is not that well synchronised so i loose speed each time i shift in order to prevent extrawearing of gear. Shimano DI2 worked perfect, but my dealer talked me out of this combination cause he claimed that Di2 is not build for more than 50nm so no matter how strong motor i put in, it will reduce power down to 50nm. This sounds pretty strange to me.
Anybody familiar with such a "detail"? Thanx for any infos provided

A mate of mine runs di2 on his e8000 and its no different to mine that ive noticed when riding it
