Morning everyone,

We are going to begin the first stage of an update to the Pedelecs site today at 12pm.

The forum will close at this time and hopefully re-open later on this evening bar any problems. If something goes horribly wrong we probably won't be able to restore the site until tomorrow morning when our hosting company support desk re-opens.

The first part of the update is to move over to the Xenforo 2 platform as well as replace the front-end with a more integrated solution. The other main purpose of this update is to ensure the site better caters for mobile and tablet users who interestingly are making up the bulk of our visitors now.

There is still much work to be done after today so there will be a number of things that will still need to be updated/replaced over the next few weeks.

Thanks for your patience!

Russ.

Hi Eddie,

Many thanks, we've still got quite a bit to add so hopefully it will be an improvement once finished.

There are review forums for each sub-section of the site.

Plus we can now feature member content on the main site, so your reviews can appear on the front page (if you're happy with this of course!).

can you put the forum link back at the top of the page as its a pita having to keep scrolling up as its locked on the left hand side.

New posts should also be prominent at the top of the page with out having to scroll the LH Panel to find the section, though in time with familiarisation of the new layout it will come to me easier.

tbh the hole layout of the forum is to compartmentalised for each section and makes it a pita searching the threads as there so big its now a long way down to the bottom lol.

cant you add different forum themes ? as this one sucks tbh.

There is a small menu toggle that appears on mobile or reduced-width browsers. We will look to make this visible once you scroll down a page.

In the meantime there are a couple of top/bottom arrows that should appear on the bottom right of your browser window.

Thanks
Russ.

We won't be offering different themes but we will continue to improve this one over time.

Thanks
Russ.

I replied to a post by Soundwave but we will look to adding a button in the header which will bring up the menu to jump to New Posts, Trending etc..

Thanks
Russ.

A small request:

- rollover on the menus for desktop users, easy to do in CSS

The one on the top left hand side. It took me a while to find the "up" arrow, often it is hidden in the "how to choose an electric bike picture.
