Split a 20ah battery

Before starting to ebike regularly I purchased one of these 36v 20ah shrinkwrapped batteries with the idea I could just charge once/twice a week instead of daily.

On the dozen or so times I've used it, I have found the weight can be a bit much for me.
Before I hack mine open, has anyone opened one of these up and seen if they are made up of 2x10ah blocks?
and I could split them and add a bms etc or are they spot welded as 20ah block.

They're not two 10ah blocks. There's 20 cells. IIRC, each pair is in parallel. They're stuck together too, so you might have difficulty separating them.

Thanks for the photo, I thought it would be made up of loads of those small round cells.
I guess I will have to put up with the weight.
