Forget it,the EU is limiting the power of vacuum cleaners and hair driers,you will now have a max 900watt cleaner and spend twice as long cleaning as you would with an 1800 watt

Yes, I've just dumped my Vax and bought an EU compliant Bosch lithium battery powered one. Don't tell anyone, but when it comes, I'm going to solder the shunt in the controller and add a 3S booster battery to take it from to 26v to 36v. I'm going to add a secret magnetic switch, which will bring the extra cells into/out of the circuit, so nobody can see that it's been modified. Remove the magnet and it reverts to 26v. The only problem I can envisage is the run time. At 1900w, the battery won't last long enough to do the living room and the stairs, so I'll have to recharge in between.
