Wisper 905 Torque - Regularly Losing power

Wisper 905 Torque, 6 years old and had a replacement battery last year.
There's regular resistance when pedaling like it's losing power at any speed and on flat terrain. Seems to be getting more regular and it often feels like i'm pedaling in manual mode than with any assist.
The controller LCD remains fully displayed throughout.
The battery locking mechanism broke a while back so I have to keep the battery strapped in with a bungi strap but no problems with the LCD display.

Any ideas on what could be causing it?

Hi David, no I haven't. I thought I'd put it on the forum first to see if anyone else might have had a similar issue.

hi Kevin when i had this problem with my whoosh bike it was the pedal assist .
