Hi

Can anyone help please on a wiring diagram on the FCB on the new Wisper. Some kind person took exception to my bike and tore out all the wires from the bottom.

I dont think this will be covered by the warranty.

Any Help Please. Thanks

If I were you, I'd drop an email to Norman at Wisper Service.

So sorry to hear about your bike, people disgust me sometimes, it's just such a brain dead, vile thing to do.

Thanks Straylight. I have emailed david for help so I'll wait and see what he says. It looks pretty hopeless for me to fix though, and I'm around 80 miles from the nearest dealer.
I certainly will be more careful where I park it up though!
I'm really livid by some peoples mentality.

sorry to hear this - I literally don't let my e-bike out of my sight and have never parked it up in town for this reason.. (I always take my unpowered bike as its only a couple of miles to town anyway)

My local Councillor (a keen cyclist and very supportive of better facilities) had his (unpowered) bike kicked in on the town stands, as I've used the same stands and had no problems I suspect it was politically motivated as he is the sort of man who is very strong in his opinions, distinctive in appearance and might be more likely to make enemies than me, but it is of course still completely unacceptable...

Have you told the cops? (some forces let you report it online).

Even though a bobby may not turn up (if at all) if you get the crime number it makes it easier to claim off insurance and means something has gone down on computer increasing the crime figures in that area, and if enough other people do so an area gets a bad rep and the authorities are forced to take action... the surveillance state isn't going to go away so may as well use it to your advantage...

were there any other bikes nearby? it does worry me though as it seems to hint that its worse than brain dead, as if the vandals had some knowledge of just what to sabotage to really anger an e-bikes owner :( (unless they thought the wires were some kind of alarm that could be disabled...)

Vandalism

Sorry Thunder I did not realise it was an act of vandalism, maybe we should wire the bike up to ZAP any ones figures that came within 5mm of it, we would solve the problem very quickly (apart from being closed down I mean!)

Although this is not a warranty item I feel for your situation and any spare parts needed are on us.

All the best David

Thanks David for the offer of spare parts Ive had to reconstruct the whole FCB and have had to remove some of the connecting blocks and by pass some as the bottom wires wouldn't go back in.

I have now got 98% of it working so I'm happy I will not be needing any parts. I know now a lot more about electric bikes so something positive has come out of this, Not sure if my back agrees though. HA!

I,ve always partially hid the bike from view so perhaps thats where I went wrong when parking it.

Thanks to Norman with his expertise and support should be ok.

Thanks again

Keith
