xion motor fault.

Hi Folks,

the motor on my focus jarifa premium developed a fault on the way home from work today basically the motor cut out and stopped providing any kind of assistance, the motor fault warning symbol is also now displayed on the control consule(triangle with an m in the middle) i tryed switching the power off then back on but had no effect neither did disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, can anyone offer advise on what the problem may be, bike is only 4 months old so hasnt done a great deal of mileage.

Hey Gryffe1974,

I have a Xion motor on my Pro Connect and there have been times that taking the control module off of the bike and cleaning the contacts and replacing it helps. I think the error I get then is "C" in a triangle and not the M, but maybe you could give that a try too.

Mine is also about 4 months old and am having some battery/charger issues.

Had similar problem on my X24. After intial panic I "rebooted" it by taking the control panel out and putting it back in again. Your's sounds more serious though.
