Pedal Assist and Regen: Amped Bike Kit

Featured Replies

I have an Ampedbikes kit (rear wheel, direct drive).

The controller is marked

"Brushless controller for for Ebike"

"36 v phase degree 120°"

"Limited current 22A Low voltge potect 31.5v"

"Electric Freqquency: low frequency "

"automatic cruise control, E-ABS, Energy Feedback, mute"

Does anyone know if I can add pedal assist - if so how? There only appear to be a wired connector for the thumb throttle.

Is E-ABS regenerative braking ?

Any suggestions (polite) much appreciated.

Thanks

Alfazzr

Most pedal assists are built into the controller but there is now an alternative that links to the throttle for when it wasn't fitted, or if you have to add some bits into your controller where it's possible. Probably available in a few places but I know Ed Lyen (endless-sphere forums) was selling them- try emailing him but tell him your country as he's in the USA. About $20 air

The circuitry is built inside the PAS module. There is no separate board needed. Here are the links between the two:
