January 17, 200719 yr Amazing display of two wheeled balance - and leg power! http://www.glumbert.com/media/drifting/
January 17, 200719 yr Thats a pretty shiny looking bit of tarmac/road/footpath that the 'rider' is on. Was it laid by the people who did Bristol Airport runway?
January 18, 200719 yr There's smoke there alright but I'm not so sure its from the tyre material itself - more likely from what its rubbing against or what's on the tyre.
January 24, 200719 yr Maybe this is the future of powered cycles ! = Better make sure no one is in front of you at the lights when you pull away on one of these :-)
January 24, 200719 yr Would have been interesting to ride a version with lower C of G thats further forward - I could see the design flaw even before they started the thing (aside from the giveaway link title). It looked to have a fair bit of thrust judging by the rate at which it took off.
January 24, 200719 yr Not an engineer amongst the lot of them Russ, it was so blindingly obvious that would happen without an outrigger balancing weight at the front! Better still would be a side shielded body frame harness with the rockets one on each side. No wonder they struggled to get the space shuttle working properly! Snap, Flying Kiwi!
January 24, 200719 yr After such rocket related madness, here's a hub motor spinning rather quickly: YouTube - 80mph 80v Hub motor Test
January 24, 200719 yr Having watched that video too, with the recent news over batteries, I would have thought 'hot' is not a good choice to describe the Lithium battery they're trying to sell
January 25, 200719 yr Author Maybe this is the future of powered cycles ! = Better make sure no one is in front of you at the lights when you pull away on one of these :-) Heh, no protective gear for the pilot. Gotta love american values. :-)
