January 26, 201511 yr Hi, I'd appreciate anyone's views on some prospective crossbar bikes. I ilke rear hub drive, saddle bar mounted 16aH minimum battery and hydraulic disc brakes. No Wisper crossbars currently available and the Ezee Forza mk 2 seems unavailable without any indication of when it will be. Only choices seem to be Volt Pulse X, (bit pricey) Juicy Merlin Click or the Freego Eagle with cable disc brakes (which I have heard can be tricky to maintain compared to hydraulic and less good). Anyone have any experience of any of these bikes?
January 26, 201511 yr The Volt Pulse X has a much more powerful motor, which is why it's a bit more expensive. The cooking version Pulse (without X) is comparable with the other two pricewise. There's a nice Kudos with hydraulic brakes for about £1400. http://www.kudoscycles.com/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=346 and the Woosh Zephyr-B too http://www.wooshbikes.co.uk/?zephyr-b
January 26, 201511 yr Your requirement for a minimum 16ah seatpost battery does limit your choice. However, a LifeCycle Mountain Sport has a 17ah battery, rear drive and a cross bar. http://www.lifecycle-electricbikes.co.uk/?product=lifecycle-mountain-sport-electric-bike
January 27, 201511 yr if you are not in a hurry, the forthcoming upgrade for the woosh Sirocco 2 in a few weeks has all your required elements: 15AH battery behind the seat post, BPM rear hub motor and hydraulic brakes.
