January 28, 201511 yr Hi I recently purchaed a haibike Sduro hardtail SL 27.5 and 45cm frame Yamaha engine, from Germany. Did I do the right thing? Wanted a KTM but June delivery from my local dealer Delighted with the bike and used mostly off road over a 100 miles in the first ten days. Chain seems to skip under load in top gear ( 9 speed )
January 28, 201511 yr If you got the bike in a box and it was never checked, a simple gear adjustment may fix you up. There is an ebike shop in city center that sells and service Haibikes.
January 28, 201511 yr or save yourself some trouble by tightening the tensioning screw on the back of the derailleur.

January 28, 201511 yr You have to look at the derailleur from behind the bike to see the screw at the top near the hanger. It rotates the whole derailleur round the axle to increase the tension on the chain. When you're in top gear, the chain is at its slackest, which is probably why it's jumping.
January 28, 201511 yr Labelled "pulley adjustment screw" here: http://www.montaguebikes.com/assets/images/ownermanual/rear-d-diagram.jpg
January 31, 201511 yr Author Hi D8veh Have adjusted the tension screw and have screwed it into approximately the half way position. Definatly an improvement but not totally eliminated. When looking at the Deore instructions it suggests to adjust the tension in the lowest gear with 1/8th inch gap from the cog, must say mine does not seem to get withing that even fully tightened. Thanks for the advice. Martin
February 1, 201511 yr Welcome to the forum! I love the look of Haibikes! I have a KTM eLycan and had a rather long wait for it myself. Please post up any pictures you take in the off road section as I love to see other people's journeys round the countryside.
