April 18, 201511 yr Hi everyone, I was searching for a while to find some hydraulic brakes with built in motor cut-off switch. I realised that both my front and rear brakes had the switch on them so I decided to upgrade the front brake and do away with one switch, leaving me with the rear still active. Nice and safe. After getting the new front brake fitted I thought I would take the old one apart to see if I could some how get the cut-off switch out of it and fit it to the new brake lever. I managed to remove the switch and located it under the corner of the new brake lever. The bottom had to be extended using a piece of plastic attached to the end of it. Although the not the prettiest thing, it works and the hydraulic brake on the front is a vast improvement on the stock mechanical brakes that came with the bike. Anyway, hopefully this may be of use to someone who was having the same problem as me Original Mechanical caliper http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae297/c_w_2002/A9B44222-332E-4132-8EA6-0DC670973E75_zpsasvgz2ft.jpg New hydraulic caliper http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae297/c_w_2002/8AF141B0-9E5B-4B79-8E91-070F0713B4E9_zpsgzjmoebp.jpg Old mechanical lever http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae297/c_w_2002/7ADD9536-3863-4D52-B9F1-9601657B2CB7_zpsexacnaby.jpg Cut-off switch with no brake being applied http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae297/c_w_2002/CFCA4C99-F859-4994-A209-B058182C3C1B_zpsnn8yokmf.jpg Cut-off switch with brake being applied http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae297/c_w_2002/8DD8D79F-5FFC-4219-871E-1EEF8362E6EA_zpsepjgla8t.jpg DIY switch installation http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae297/c_w_2002/A7B6305A-B431-433B-B1A0-B7FBEEC1A545_zpsyax7oypy.jpg
