Raleigh Motus (Bosch ActivLine) creaky

Featured Replies

Hi all

My Motus has developed a creak. Certainly not the saddle as the bolt holding it on broke last week and I had to ride back standing up (which is harder than you would thinkl!)

I think it happens when I put pressure on the left pedal - especially if I am pushing hard - but it is not consistant and I can sometimes go up a short steep hill using a lot of pressure with no creaks - and then I will accelerate slightly on a canal path and it creaks.

I am thinking there might be a bolt that is loose - or too tight - or the chain is stretched a bit -

or something else

anyone any ideas what to look for first?

TIA

Sounds like exactly what happened to me.......Check the tightness of your crank bolts and my thread

Thanks

all the bolts seem tight - I might take it to the LBS where I got it and see if he can see anything - especially as it is less than a year old
